2nd EU-JUSSCANNZ meeting on SAICM, Paris, France, 12 June 2007

Further to their first meeting, which took place in Barcelona, Spain, from 20 to 22 November 2006, the EU-JUSSCANNZ group of countries held a second meeting at the premises of the Union de l’Europe Occidentale in Paris on 12 June 2007 in conjunction with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Joint Meeting of the Chemicals Committee and Working Party on Chemicals, Pesticides and Biotechnology.

Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting: Bangkok, 21-23 May 2007

The Asia-Pacific regional meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 21 to 23 May 2007. The meeting was organized in collaboration with the Pollution Control Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand and the Japanese Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES).

Arab sub-regional meeting, Cairo, Egypt, 1-2 April 2007

A meeting for Arab countries on implementation of SAICM was held in Cairo, Egypt, from 1 to 2 April 2007. The meeting was jointly organized by the SAICM secretariat, the Regional Office for West Asia of the United Nations Environment Programme and the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office of the World Health Organization, with the support of the Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, the League of Arab States and the Governments of Sweden and Switzerland.
